Dermagenesis has charged $16.00 for a glass (disposable) handpiece with fixed tips that last for about 50 treatments before it must be replaced. How is it sterilized between treatments? It is not. The only way to assure sterility of a disposable Microdermabrasion hand piece tip is to sterilize it in an Autoclave. That can't be done with a plastic tip or a one-piece throw away handpiece with fixed tip if the assembly is made of plastic.
